Dr. Jim Fick, O.D.
Dr. Jim Fick, O.D. is a licensed optometric physician and is therapeutically certified. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, he earned his Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2002.
During his clinical education, he completed his externship at the Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming where he gained valuable experience in diagnosing and management of various ocular diseases including cataract, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. He completed his primary care rotation with various Optometric offices in and around Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Fick's clinical interest is in the area of managing glaucoma, macular degeneration and the application of specialty contact lenses in the treatment of various corneal and ocular surface diseases. Dr. Fick applies a relaxed demeanor in patient encounters to foster a friendly doctor-patient interaction. He is currently accepting new patients at the office in Clarksburg.
In his free time, Dr. Fick enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two children.
DR CRAIG LIEBIG, OD
Dr Craig Liebig was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived in Ohio before coming to West Virginia at an early age. He grew up in Keyser, WV and is a Keyser High School graduate. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Gail (Blamer) Liebig and they have two grown children, son Jesse, and daughter Traci who is married to BJ Knabenshue. Traci and BJ have a son, Lukas.
Dr Liebig attended Potomac State College and West Virginia University before entering Optometry School and graduating from The Ohio State University. He has been practicing Optometry in the Clarksburg area for 33 years. His practice was in the Meadowbrook Mall for over 20 years before joining Dr Fick in 2008. He enjoys learning about new technology and new contact lens developments as they occur in Optometry and then utilizing these new advancements in the office for the benefit of his patients and also teaching the staff at Fick Eyecare about new developments. He is a member of the West Virginia Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association.
Out of the office, Dr Liebig enjoys spending time with grandson Lukas, golfing with son Jesse and skiing at Snowshoe. He is an avid fan of both the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is an active member of Bridgeport Presbyterian Church and the Bridgeport Lions Club, where he will serve as President for the 2016-2017 Lions year.
Dr. Sarah Lasher, OD, MS
A graduate of Morgan High School in McConnelsville, Ohio, Dr. Lasher went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York where she was awarded the Top Physics Department Student Award. She attended the Ohio State University College of Optometry where she participated in the Opt VII program. This program allowed her to obtain a master’s degree in vision science while completing her Doctorate of Optometry. When she graduated from OSU, Dr. Lasher was awarded the James Bing Memorial Award, the Binocular Vision and Pediatrics Clinical Excellence award and the Excellence in Vision Therapy award.
Dr. Lasher is a member of the American Optometric Association and the BSK Honor Society. She lives in Morgantown with her husband, Chris. and their English bulldog, Lola. She enjoys hiking, kayaking and traveling, as well as playing volleyball any chance she gets.
